The Hokage...

Tenshi and Shiro arrived in Shiro's office, he was coughing some blood and Tenshi was keeping him calm and propping him as he walked. Shiro sat down on his chair and wiped his blood from his chin. He looked at Tenshi closely.

"Tenshi, I'm sorry to give you some bad news before I give you the good news"

"What is it?"

"I'm dying"

"What?!" Tenshi said in a surprised tone

"Yes, I suffer from a sickness that even the best of medical-nin can't heal"

"But what news could possibly make me happy after this?!" Tenshi yelled, she didn't like that her friend was dying.

"I'm having someone take my place as Hokage, as I am unfit for the role" Shiro said in a calm tone

"Who?" Tenshi asked

"You" Shiro grinned

"What?"

"You will take my place as Hokage, this is the place where you belong, it is the place where our parents came from, your father, your mother, your uncle, your godfather, they were all great ninja of this village" Shiro said with a smile.

"But..."

"No buts, you have helped this village through it's hardships, you are known amongst the village leaders, they respect you, you will make a fine Hokage"

"I really don't think I'm suited for this role" Tenshi said, she didn't expect this, she was confused and embarrassed.

"Please, for me, for you family, do this and protect the village they sacrificed for to protect" Shiro pleaded, he got up and grabbed Tenshi's hand and got on one knee in a awkward bow "I know you'll do fine, I believe in you, please"

Tenshi didn't know what to say, but she knew what she had to do, Shiro was right about one thing, she was going to do this for him and the village he holds so dear.

"Alright" Tenshi smiled "I'll do it"

"Thank you" Shiro said with a smile

Tenshi never realized that was the last time she'd ever see him smile...

At his deathbed, Tenshi looked to the ANBU and higher members.

"Tell the village, let them know about what has happened to the Hokage"

"Yes maam"They said as they dispersed

"What will we do now?" An elder said

"We will do as his dying wish asked" Tenshi said confidently

"Yes, Hokage-Sama"

Tenshi exited the building to the roof and looked up at the sky.

"Shiro, I'll protect your village, as Hokage, and as your friend..." She said as a small tear slid down her cheek.
