Visiting old friends [open]

Masamune walked to the memorial stone of the ninja who greatly served Konohagakure. He stood in front of the stone and read the names of the people he had served in war with.

He looked among the lines and thought back to all the times they had together.

"Shiro...Maoi...Toki...Hiru...Aoi...Saino..." Masamune read their names out loud "I guess I'm the only one left. I'll see you guys some time later"

Masamune stood in front of the stone and stood in silence...

Hotaru was walking her way home, on her way she normally stopped by the memorial stone, she also liked seeing the name on there. It humbled her, thanking the stars that she was alive to serve her village today.

When she got closer to the memorial stone she noticed another person with sakura colored hair standing there. Hotaru stayed as quiet as she could as she walked up next to him. She didn't know if he had family or friends there and if he was medetating to them and since he was a stranger, she kept her straight face as she started to look over the names of the fallen.

Masamune noticed a young girl, most likely a Genin of Konoha, arrive to look at the Memorial Stone as well.

"Well it's nice to see that I'm not the only one that honors the dead" Masamune smiled "What's your name kid?"

Masamune held out his hand to shake greetings.

"My name is Masamune" Masamune said "Yours?"

Hotaru looked up at Masamune. She looked back down as he noted that he wasn't the only one that payed honors to the dead.
"What's your name kid?" She saw his hand come out to shake hers. "My name is Masamune. Yours?" Hotaru shook his hand in return.
"I am Hotaru. I do like coming here." She looked at the etched stone then back up at Maramune. "It gives me a great sense of pride and honor of living here." She smiled dreamly, remember stories her father would tell her of before her time.

"Hmm good choice" Masamune said "Well these people have served this village well"

Masamune looked back and thought how if it wasn't for the fact that he left the village he himself might have been on the memorial stone.

"Well, no sense in just standing here since we have had the pleasure of meeting, how about I treat you to a small treat at the stands a little bit down from here?"

"Uhhuh." Hotaru snapped back to the current conversation, giving one of her 'stupid' answers. As Maramune suggested he would treat her to a stand that was near by she noticed something was a little more different, but in her nature, she didn't press any further. Or at least not until it bothered her and her quest for any more knowledge.
"Yeah, that sounds cool." She nodded her head, "Thank you." She smiled lightly at him. Hotaru pasued a moment in thought.
"You've lived here before? I've never seen you." She said, starting to walk slowly.

"I'm a former member of this village" Masamune said as they walked along "I was a partner of Shiro, the previous Hokage"

Masamune walked over to a vendor stall and ordered two crepes. He handed one to Hotaru as the continued to walk down the street.

"I left this village a while ago, I came back to visit Shiro, but I was too late for the funeral, I left the village to find a cure for him, but now I can't help him anymore"

He knew the former Hokage. Her dark brows went up, getting slightly impressed. Hotaru took the crepe and thanked him silently, wanting to hear more.
"I left this village a while ago, I came back to visit Shiro, but I was too late for the funeral, She looked down, remembering that sad day, her parents were silent after that, but her clan had lightened up after that. I left the village to find a cure for him, but now I can't help him anymore" She nipped on her food as she looked at Maramune, she then tilted her head at the fact the he can't help him anymore.
"Well of course you can still help out." Hotaru said in a matter-of-fact tone, "Stay here. You must have a specialty, I can feel that you have strong chakra." After she said that, she took a bigger bite out of her crepe.

"I still need to find a way to use my chakra to help people, I have found many ways, but they are desperate and may cause death, I want to find a way to make sure that people are safe when I use them" Masamune said "I shouldn't be telling you about this, it'll get you killed"

Masamune punched a metal post to relieve his frustration from being unable to help those close to him and it snapped like a twig.

"I found surefire ways to heal myself, but I haven't been able to heal others in the same way"

She listened closely, her mind wirling to think of something, to her she need to think out of the box, which wasn't really her things. "I shouldn't be telling you about this, it'll get you killed" Hotaru's dark eyes looked up at him as she raised an eyebrow, she then shook her head.
"Don't worry about me." She said, Hotaru was about to say something else but stopped to watch him punch a metal post that just snapped without hesitation. Hotaru almost gapped in astonishment, but stopped herself.
"We-well. You um, can find someone else to help you." She said, her eyes slightly widened as she was still looking at the post. Hotaru looked up at him for a moment.
"You shouldn't keep this all to yourself. Even if it won't kill you." Hotaru said, hoping the light joke will help Maramune.

"I have had people help me in the past, several medical ninja around the world" Masamune said "But none of us have found a way to use it without possibly killing someone"

Masamune sat down on the steps that led to the memorial stone.

"And they call me the best medical ninja of all time" Masamune scoffed "What a joke"

Hotaru watched him sit down on the steps. "Well if I'm hearing correctly that's the past and people that aren't near by." She walked over to him and sat on the dusty trail near the steps. She looked down to her hands.
"And they call me the best medical ninja of all time" Masamune scoffed "What a joke" Hotaru frowned slightly as she thought of her next words.
"My clan's kind of like medical ninjas. But the elders are, well, a little ignorant." Hotaru looked up at him smiling small. She found this a little more troublesome, but it seemed to be a fine challenge, deep down inside she hoped she was helping him.

"I see, well I don't know if I wish to speak about this topic" Masamune said "I came here to celebrate for my friend and god dammit I'm going to do it"

Masamune stood up and walked towards the memorial stone again, but not without buying a small bottle of sake.

"Come along if you want" Masamune waved to Hotaru.

Hotaru nodded in understandment to him not wanting to talk about. She then smiled small once more to see him find morivation to celebrate a friends success. Hotaru stood up quickly to find him getting up and walking back to the stone.
"Come along if you want" Hotaru gave a swift nod.
Something interesting is bound to happen. She thought looking up to the sky as she caught up to Maramune.

Masamune sat down in front of the memorial stone, placed down three cups and made a seal on the ground. He made several hand signs and placed his hand on the ground.

"Gyaku Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei"

Masamune called over the spirit of his old friend without giving him a body, Masamune had summoned before him the spirit of the former Hokage, Shiro.

"Hello Shiro" Masamune said with a smile "Care to have a drink like the old days?"

"Masamune?!" Shiro said in surprise "It has been a while, you call me back to the dead just for some sake?"

"Yes" Masamune said "For a friend I'd do that much"

"Hmph" Shiro scoffed "Always doing what you want"

Shiro sat down and picked up his own sake cup. He looked to see the third cup.

"Who is the third cup for?"

"You'll see" Masamune smiled

Hotaru sat on her legs, slightly behind Maramune, she watched him summon Shiro, the Hokage before Tenshi. Her eyes widened up slightly as Shiro talked normally as though he wasn't head.

No way. She scoffed inside as she watched both of them have their conversation.
Who else is about to come back alive. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she waited silently.

"What are you doing standing there?" Masamune said "Come join us, we won't bite"

"You're going to invite a youngster with us?"

"She's a new friend" Masamune smiled "Lay off ok?"

"Fine fine" Shiro sighed "Come on Hotaru, join us"

Masamune patted the ground behind the third cup, he thought that he should invite her too.

Hotaru's eyes widened slightly when Maramune told her to come closer. Her bangs hid her eyes slight.
"Ok, Maramune." She came up next to him and Shiro.
"You're going to invite a youngster with us?" That made Hotaru slightly frown as she sat down behind the thrid cup. That made her smile slightly that she was welcomed to even though he was meeting up with his old friend.

He knows my name. Of course. She chuckled internally He was Hokage. Hotaru looked at both of them, waiting to see what will happen next.

"Alright now it is time to drink" Masamune smiled as he pulled out a jug of sake. Masamune poured in some sake for all three of them and held his cup in the air.

"To old and new friends" Masamune said as he took a sip of his sake.

"Hotaru-chan is far too young to drink sake, Masamune"

"It's fine" Masamune said, his face slightly flushed, he was somewhat of a lightweight. "Have some Hotaru!"

Masamune took the jug and poured the sake into Hotaru's mouth.

Hotaru watched this fiasco start as he pored the sake.
"To old and new friends." She then smiled warmly, she was always happy to make new friends.
"Hotaru-chan is far to young to drink sake, Masamune." Hotaru looked over to Shiro and blinked a few times. Suddenly she felt the jug of sake on her lips and then the warm liquid go into her mouth. She flailed her arms around in the air as she started to chuge down the sake, her cheeks puffing out as they filled with the liquid. Hotaru tried to pull away the jug, hoping to get a breath, her vision started to blur a little.
Now I see why my parents don't let me drink this stuff yet. She faintly thought.

"Now that wasn't so bad was it?" Masamune smiled a goofy smile "You'll get used to it"

"You are so irresponsible Masamune" Shiro sighed

"Hey this is a time of celebration and rememberance, not a time of responsibility" Masamune retorted, he looked at Hotaru with goofy look on his face. "Don't you think so Hotaru-chan?"

Hotaru caughed and gave a little hiccup. she then took in a deep sigh and blinked a few times looking up at Masamune. She laguhed slightly and shook her head slightly.
"Don't you think so Hotaru-chan?" Hotaru then laughed, some where deep inside found this wierd, she wasn't really the one to show her 'fun' side. A sheepish smiled was across her face and a slight blush went across her face from chugging the sake.

"Ye-yeah right." She nodded her head, "I've never been able to do this." she fell down on her back and shielded her face from the sun.

"Now look at what you've done!" Shiro said

"Hehe looks like we have another lightweight here" Masamune smiled "Wait for it a bit Hotaru and you'll be fine"

Masamune tried to stand up, but his feet wobbled and he fell back down.

"Great now you're too drunk to listen to me" Shiro flung out his arms in exasperation.

"Of course I'm going to be light weight." Hotaru muttered out after Masamune feel down. "I'm still kinda short." She sighed, trying to remember what she was taught from her parents, but to her suprise she was drawing a blank.
"Great now you're too drunk to listen to me" Hotaru giggled and then sat up. To her amazement, wasn't good, she held her head for a moment until the headache feeling past by.
"It can't be that bad." Hotaru waved at Shiro, with a loopy smile.

"I'm fine Shiro" Masamune hiccuped "*hick* There's no way I'm too drunk to listen to the great Hokage *hick*"

Masamune picked himself up more carefully and was able to stand on his feet, though he was wobbling back and forth while he did it.

"Alright Hotaru-chan" Masamune slurred "I hope your ready, because here comes round two"

Masamune pulled out another bottle of sake. Shiro moved fast and nabbed it out of his hands.

"Nuh uh, no way am I letting you get any more drunk than you already are"

"Aww you spoiled sport"

"What did you want to talk to me about?"

"Oh yeah right I totally forgot" Masamune said "I can bring you back to life if you want"

"What?"

"Yeah, I can bring you back from the dead if ya want me to"

"Masamune, I know you are a great medical ninja but you can't possibly have figured ou-" Shiro argued "Unless..."

"Yup, I learned Edo Tensei"

"So if I want to live, you have to kill someone in order to bring me back to life?"

"Correctamundo" Masamune nodded

"Then I won't go through with it"

"I knew you wouldn't, but I had to ask" Masamune smiled "Afterall, I was too late to save you before"

"Thanks Masamune" Shiro smiled back "But I'm happy as to how I died"

"Very well old friend" Masamune said "Now get back to being dead"

Shiro disappeared into the wind and Masamune walked over to Hotaru. He held out his hand to the young konuichi.

"Come on, I'll take you home" Masamune said
