Pigging out

Shan sat at the Ichiraku Ramen Bar.. "Old Lady!" he called out "two more".. Ayame the shop owner appeared.. "Already?" he said in wonder... "Boy you eat more then the entire village by yourself! but as long as you have the cash it's not my problem"... "Actually i might be a little short today old lady" Shan said while picking through his wallet.. "ah here we are" he said pulling out a bill. "better be careful kid" Ayame said "you eat as much as a young boy i knew long ago".. "he used to eat five times as much as you" she said with a glint in her eye... "gats fragen bawlshwick" Shan said with a mouthful of noodles... "WATCH YOUR MOUTH YOUNG MAN" Ayame yelled at him "now finish your noodles and head home... I hear you'll finally get to be assigned to a team tomorow"... "yeah yeah" Shan said while scratching his head and pouring the noodle broth down his throat "as long as I dont get stuck with HIM i'll be fine"

"Who is this him you speak of young one?" Rai asked as he took a seat next to the skinny guy, he sure could eat a lot though rai wasn't one to judge. "Name's Rai, Host of the Eight tails! How are ya?" He asked while holding out a hand, he was smiling widely at the kid. "So i was thinking, i might take you and another person, a girl i believe onto my team. You seem interesting, Shan was it?"

"yea... yes sir" Shan replied... ("host of the EIGHT TAILS DEAMON!!!") Shan though to himself.. ("what a dangerous man... yet he is a squad leader")... "sounds like a plan" Shan said looking at Rai.. "and he... he's not important right not" Shan could only think of the imbecil who had messed up soo much. "I look forewards to training with you sensei" Shan bowed to Rai and stood out of his chair.. he had already finished his ramen.. and he didn't think that Rai had noticed that he had secretly stolen half of his bowl as well.

"You do realise you are going to give me back my half right?" Rai asked still smiling at the kid. He put money down infront of the lady and smiled to her as he looked back at shan. "So tell me about him." Rai said as he stopped smiling and looked seriously at him.

"he's.... nobody important" Shan said "just a no-good laid back slacker!" Shan gritted his teeth. Shan turned away.. "it's i guess he's not all bad... it's just.. i don't know that if I could count on him for a mission if we were set in the same team.." Shan walked slowly beside Rai.. but then put up his fists and grinned "but i'll just have to make myself stronger just in case!" Shan smiled at Rai's face with a feeling of self reasurance.

"Good to hear, now how about you go home and rest. Be ready for tommorrow kid, i like your spunk you could be useful. Heh, don't ever let it die." He said as he smiled and set the ramen bowl down. He was good at eating extremely fast since most people chased him after eating. He walked out and waved good bye as he made his way towards the forest, if his memory was correct she was there right now. He couldn't wait to get his team assembled, and he wanted to do it quickly.
