Suna has the mind of Shukaku along in her mind, due to the fusing. Shukaku is intelligent, but also incoherent, giving him the demeanor of a drunkard, which fits well with the typical depictions of tanuki in Japanese folklore. Shukaku itself translates to "drunk" in Japanese. Like other tailed beasts, its innate rage and bloodlust influences her behavior. According to Suna, Shukaku relishes the opportunity to kill anyone in sight, even more so during a full moon, which also affects her as well. Suna is shy and kind, but Shukaku influences her and she does to him, making a somewhat strange personality. Suna and Shukaku care for each other, but they have a twisted form of enjoyment. She does care about her village, and kills anyone who attempts to harm those she cares for. However, no one else feels this kindness.

*Description: After wrapping an opponent with sand, Suna will cause the sand to implode and crush whatever is within it. According to Suna, when used to kill a person, the death is so quick that there isn't even time for the victim to feel any pain. The pressure also produces a sizable fountain of blood. Suna can control the pressure used in the attack, which allows her to either break bones or completely liquefy an opponent.

*Description: Whenever Suna is about to come to harm, a shield of sand will automatically surround and protect her. The sand will react regardless of Suna's will, even protecting her from self-inflicted injuries, due to One-Tailed Shukaku's desire to survive. The shield is capable of withstanding considerably strong attacks and projectiles, and can be hardened to a point where it's stronger than steel. It's speed is to the point that it can block Amaterasu.

*Description: This jutsu sends a massive amount of sand towards an opponent in the form of a wave, covering and "drowning" them in an ocean of sand. In addition to the wave effect of the jutsu, Suna can control the sand, allowing her to attack her opponent while they attempt to outrun the wave. The technique can be so powerful as to change the landscape, as Suna turned acres of forest land into nothing but a desert with occasional trees. This appears to be the only one of Suna's sand based moves that requires hand seals, and in practice is virtually unavoidable. It is usually followed by an area crushing technique to kill the opponent.

*Description: Following the Sand Tsunami, Suna slams both hands palm down into the sand, creating powerful shock waves that compress the sand. Anything buried in the sand is subsequently crushed. The compressions also create massive earthquakes.

*Description: Gaara surrounds herself with her Shield of Sand to guard against attacks. She then uses the Third Eye to watch her opponents' movements and control sand as necessary to battle them. In addition to being extremely dense, this sand-sphere can form spikes from its surface to spear any would-be attacker. With sufficient force, such as the Chidori, this defense can be broken through.

*Description: The Shukaku Spear is the attack variant of the Shield of Shukaku. Just like the shield which has yet to find anything that could break its defense, the halberd has yet to find a defense that it can't break through.

*Description: Using her ability to manipulate sand, Suna will loosen the ground below her targets and cause them to sink two hundred meters into the earth. By being imprisoned at this depth, the pressure will completely nullify their ability to move. Also, the pressure resulting from being buried at such an extreme depth would surely kill any normal human, if not from suffocation

*Description: A peculiar ninjutsu of Suna's. With chakra, she connects a sand-made eye to her optic nerve, which enables her to know what happens in the sand eye's field of vision. This is genuinely a third eye for its user. Suna can control the size of the eye depending on its use. Its main purpose is spying, since it can form and disperse in any location on command. She also uses it while within her Sphere of Sand so she can see what's happening outside.

*Description: After clotting together sand into countless small lumps, they're used to attack the enemy from every direction. Because all the sand lumps are controlled by chakra, it is possible to commence an attack without any blind spots. This technique is often used as lure in battle, as the true intent behind this technique is to attack from the ground. In order for this to work, the enemy is first made to face upwards with the sand rain, simultaneously bringing their field of activities under the user's control. Then, a bold move is made from underfoot. To make sure the rain hits its mark, it can be combined with Sand Binding Coffin to immobilize the target.

*Description: A capturing ninjutsu that is characteristic to Suna. Using ordinary sand, a perfectly airtight space is created, in which the enemy is captured. An enormous quantity of sand completely envelops the target from every direction and capture them. The speed, hardness, and scope of the sand depend on the amount of chakra poured into it. Suna can fine-tune the sand's properties to the target's size and characteristics. No matter if the target is on the ground or flying in the air, it is almost impossible to escape from this technique. However, even if someone successfully escapes from it, Suna can easily use one of her offensive techniques, like the Sand Binding Coffin, to immediately attack the target.

Suna is a host for the One-Tailed Beast, Shukaku. When she realized that she was a host, Suna and the Shukaku had a lot in common, which made Suna an ideal host for Shukaku, who was guaranteed bloodshed so long as they were together. Soon Suna and Shukaku decided to do something that no other Jinchuriki had done before, Suna fused with her Biju completely turning them into a single being in body and chakra. When the transformation was complete, a new being was created, the new and improved Suna was a more intelligent, and more able tailed demon then the previous Shukaku.
Suna before was a quiet and shy girl, but the Shukaku changed her. The beast made her more open, somewhat like a drunk when it came to her personality. However, they knew that if they remained in the village, there would be no stopping her from killing off everyone she loved. So she left the village, promising never to return.
She later joined the Akatsuki, who could not take away her jinchurikki as she herself was the Shukaku and her body tied down the spirit and chakra, also, having full control made her too powerful to fight, as in addition to the small size, she was also able to do things the normal Shukaku could do. She was welcomed amongst the ranks, and was assigned a partner.

Suna looked down at her cloak, showing somewhat a little irritation in her face.
"Why can't the boss think of better outfits, not that this isn't stylish" Suna said to herself with a grumble "Oh well, nothing I can do about it"
Suna walked into the village she was supposed to arrive in, the leader had sent her to capture a bounty, a high level ninja from Iwagakure. Suna looked around at the landscape.
"Well" Suna said to herself "It's like being in Sunagakure again"
"Forget about that Suna" Shukaku said in Suna's mind "Let's go kill something, we might as well have some fun while we're doing this job"
"Yeah, you're right" Suna said with a grin "Alright, let's get this bitch"
Suna walked into the building she was supposed to infiltrate. It was a 5 story building, with many windows. She walked over to the reception desk.
"Hello how may I help you?" The receptionist asked
"I'd like to speak to Mister Gozo"
"Why is that?"
"Because I'm going to kill him and everyone in this building, starting with you" Suna said with a grin
"Wha-"
The woman's head was suddenly cleaned right off with a swipe of Suna's arm. The staff near the reception hall began to scream and clients ran for the doors, but soon they realized that the entire building was covered in sand. Suna slowly walked up to the fifth floor, killing anyone in sight, the building had at least 1000 people inside it.
Suna reached the target's room, she was greeted by a group of ninja. The target Gozo, appeared between them.
"I don't know who sent you, but your attempt ends here"
"Yeah I know" Suna said with a smile
The four ninja converged and stabbed through Suna. Suna smiled as she turned into sand and wrapped around the four ninja.
"Sand Burial" Suna said as the ninja were crushed within the sand, as Suna reformed in front of Gozo. The man got down to his knees.
"Please don't kill me" Gozo begged "I'll do anything!"
"Anything?" Suna asked intrigued
"Yes anything!" Gozo agreed
"Alright, here's what I want you to do" Suna leaned forward, bending over to meet him
"Yes ma'am?" Gozo said, leaning to meet her
"Scream real loud for me" Suna whispered in his ear as sand began to wrap around him
"No you can't do this!!"
"Why not?" Suna asked
"Becau-" Gozo began, but was muzzled by the sand
'What was that?" Suna mockingly leaned to try and listen "Did you say something?"
Gozo tried to speak, but his muffled pleas fell to deaf ears.
"Oh well, guess it wasn't important" Suna shrugged, she then looked Gozo in the eyes and smiled while letting his mouth free "Bye bye Gozo"
"Wai- GUGUH!!!" Gozo began, but was crushed by his sand prison
Suna exited the building through the window, levitating down to the ground. She looked back to see the several tenants attempt to escape but were unable to. They watched in fear as Suna stuck out her open hand and closed it. In an instant, the entire building and everyone inside it was crushed by the sand. The blood spewed out and began to splatter all over the surrounding area.
"Well, it's time to return with the prize"
"That was nice work" Shukaku said in a cheery voice "We need to do that again sometime"
Suna carried Gozo's body with her sand, leaving behind the incoherent bloodshed that gave her and Shukaku the enjoyment they wanted.
